Whew! We are still wiping the sweat from our brow after the madness that was 10-10-10. We fed nearly 100 people between three different receptions on the biggest wedding day since 7-7-07. And we figured, what better day to throw some fresh meat in the fire, so to speak? (Pardon the catering analogy, clearly we have food on the brain). Sunday, October 10, 2010 was the introduction into the foray of both catering and this lovely island we call home for a few new guys on our crew, and we're happy to say they stepped up to the challenge and passed the test with flying colors.
Thanks to our organized prep system (every man for himself!) everything went off without a hitch. We set up at Ocean Palms Villa in Coral Bay, and Amarosa and Coco de Mer, both in Peter Bay. At Amarosa, the mother of the bride was the first of many who jumped into the pool fully clothed, so needless to say it was a good party. We would also like to thank Mother Nature, who, after saturating us with the crap storm that was Tropical Storm Otto all week, decided to grant us with a relatively clear day for the big 10-10-10. With 7-7-7 and 10-10-10 under our belt, we are more than ready for the next big wedding day. 11-11-11, anyone? |
