Flavors of St. John is always a good time, and we were happy to be able to participate in this party for a good cause. The island's finest culinarians descended on the Westin on Saturday night, November 13, to compete for the favor of local and tourist taste buds, and to raise money for the Rotary of St. John's scholarship fund.
From our perch in one of the Westin's banquet rooms, adjacent to the main ball room, we introduced event-goers to bánh mě sandwiches: essentially the Vietnamese take on subs, with pâté, roasted meat and pickled vegetables. We served up the sandwiches with a side of truffled egg salad to rave reviews. Sad that you missed out? No worries, we're now making bánh měs as part of our lunch offerings at Starfish.
Thanks to the Rotary for a great evening, and a big congrats to all the winners! |
